Blood Orange Crush
A blood orange whiskey cocktail with maple syrup.
Prep Time 10 minutes minutes
- 2 ounces Whiskey
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1/2 inch Piece of Blood Orange
- 1 spring Mint
- 1.5 ounces Ginger Beer
Combine the blood orange, mint, and maple syrup in a shaker.
Crush the orange with a muddler or spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
Add the whiskey and top the shaker with ice.
Shake for 10-15 seconds to combine the liquid.
Pour into a rocks glass over ice.
Add ginger beer to taste. 1.5 to 2 ounces of ginger beer is best. Too much ginger beer overwhelms the other flavors.
